I claim the login bonus every day, but my credits don't increase

The free credits from the login bonus have an expiration: they disappear at 9:00 the next morning. If you claim them but don’t use them, they will no longer appear in your balance the following day.

How login bonus credits work

  • You receive 16 credits every day at 9:00
  • Claimed credits expire at 9:00 the next day
  • We recommend using them the same day you claim them

Credits obtained through top-ups (one-off purchases) or plan subscriptions have different expiration rules from login bonus credits. See About Credits for details.

Text input misbehaves when using the Simeji keyboard on iOS

We are aware of an issue on iOS with the Simeji keyboard where text input misbehaves when you move the cursor into the middle of existing text. Our development team is investigating the cause and working on a fix.

Workaround

Until the fix is released, please switch to the device’s standard keyboard, which may allow text input to work normally.

If I subscribe to a web plan, will ads in the app be hidden too?

Web monthly plans do not remove ads in the app. If you want to hide in-app ads, please consider subscribing to “Chacha Pass” from within the app.

The web and app versions offer different content, which is also why their prices differ. Please check what each plan covers before subscribing.

Can public or private chats be deleted by the operators?

As a rule, we do not delete content. Only in cases of repeated Terms of Service violations or clearly malicious behavior may we take action such as deletion.

Chats within the scope of normal use will not be deleted by the operators, so please use the service with peace of mind.

Can I switch between light mode and dark mode?

Yes, you can. Open “Display” from the menu at the top right of My Page and choose from “Light”, “Dark”, or “System”.

If you choose “System”, the appearance switches automatically according to your device settings.

Please increase the character limit for chat profiles and character settings

The current character limits are in place to protect chat quality: packing too much information into profiles and settings can confuse the AI during chat and degrade the quality of its responses.

We are carefully considering expanding the limits while balancing this against chat quality. Requests like this are shared with our team and inform future improvements.

R15 characters don't show up / I want to see sensitive content

While the Content Filter is on, R15-rated characters and artwork stay hidden. There is no age verification to complete—you only need to change the setting.

How to change it

  1. Open https://chacha-ai.dev/ in a browser and sign in with the same account you use in the app
  2. Tap Menu at the bottom right (on a computer, the profile icon at the top right)
  3. Under Content Filter, choose “Show sensitive content (R)”

If content still does not appear, check that you signed in with the same account you use in the app. Signing in with Apple in one place and Google in another creates two separate accounts.

See Content Filter for details.

Can I change the Content Filter from the app?

The Content Filter can only be changed on the web version. We limit how sensitive content is handled in the app to comply with app store review guidelines, so there is no equivalent setting there.

The setting is stored per account, though. Once you change it on the web, R15-rated content also becomes visible in the app on the same account—you do not need to open the web version every time.
