Changing Your Plan

Changing plans (upgrade / downgrade)

  • When you change your subscription plan, the plan is updated immediately and the new plan’s charge is applied at once
  • Your existing credits remain, and the new plan’s credits are added on top
  • Example: upgrading from Basic ($10) to Plus ($15) Existing credits + 900 credits from the Plus plan added $15 is charged immediately
  • Example: downgrading from Pro ($30) to Plus ($15) Existing credits + 900 credits from the Plus plan added $15 is charged immediately
  • If you’d rather avoid the immediate charge, we recommend changing your plan just before the current plan’s renewal date.

Cancelling a plan

  • Click the “Manage” button on the account page, then click “Cancel plan” on the Stripe screen to cancel the plan
  • Once cancelled, the subscription ends on the next renewal date and no further charges are made
  • The expiration of already-granted credits does not change (still 60 days from the grant date)

Changing your plan while a cancellation is pending

  • If you have a pending cancellation, you cannot switch to a new plan without first resuming the current one
  • Resuming an active plan does not incur any charge
  • Resume the plan on the Stripe screen first, then perform the plan change again

Changing plans (in-app purchase)

  • The app only offers “Chacha Pass” (¥1,500 / month). Its pricing and plan structure differ from the web plans
  • The app does not support upgrading or downgrading between plans
  • If you’d like to use a different plan, please use the web plans (Basic / Plus / Pro) at chacha-ai.dev

If you already have a subscription on a different store / on the web

  • If the same account is already subscribed through another store (App Store / Google Play) or on the web, you cannot start a new subscription in the app right away
  • Cancel the existing subscription on its purchase platform first, then subscribe again on your preferred store after the next renewal date
  • If the subscription status doesn’t reflect in the app, try “Sync subscription status” from the “Manage subscription” screen to force a re-sync with the server
