Content Filter

The Content Filter automatically detects characters and artwork that may contain sensitive material and hides them. So that everyone can enjoy Chacha safely, only General-rated content is shown until you change the setting.

Content ratings

Every character and image is given one of three ratings based on its content.

General	Everyday scenes, light fantasy, comedy, wholesome romance	Always visible—even to logged-out visitors
R15 (R)	Mildly sexual or violent themes (no explicit sex or extreme violence)	Visible only when the Content Filter is set to “Show sensitive content (R)“
R18	Anything that violates our content rules. See: Content Rules and Review	Rejected in review; cannot be published

Ratings are assigned automatically based on the title and the wording of the content. Creators cannot choose the rating when publishing a character.

Showing sensitive content

Switching the Content Filter makes R15-rated characters and artwork visible.

Note

This setting can only be changed on the web version. There is no equivalent setting in the app.

The setting is stored per account, so once you change it on the web, R15-rated content also becomes visible in the app on the same account. You do not need to open the web version every time.

Please follow the steps below in a browser. The setting cannot be changed from this screen inside the app.

1. Sign in on the web

Open https://chacha-ai.dev/ in a browser and sign in with the same account you use in the app.

The setting is stored per account. If you sign in with Apple in one place and Google in another, those are treated as separate accounts.

2. Open the menu

Tap Menu at the bottom right of the screen. On a computer, use the profile icon at the top right.

3. Choose “Show sensitive content (R)”

Open Content Filter in the menu and you will see two options. Choosing “Show sensitive content (R)” applies the change immediately.

You can make the same change from the Content tab on the settings page (https://chacha-ai.dev/settings/content).

If a rating looks wrong

If you believe the rating of your own or another user’s character does not match its content, you can ask a moderator to review it. See Reporting an Incorrect Rating for the steps.
